On April 21st, 2023, Aage Richard had his long-waited opera debut, taking over from Edward Gardner the Norwegian Opera and Ballets production of “Un Ballo In Maschera” by Guiseppe Verdi. Soloists included Matteo Lippi, Marita Sølberg, Claudio Scgura, and Tone Kummervold, alongside the Norwegian Opera’s choir and orchestra. The performance was a success and was met with standing ovations from a fully packed audience, and positive reactions from orchestra, choir, and soloists.
Aage Richard will be conducting the last performances of “Un Ballo In Maschera” on the 27th and 29th of April.
