In January/February of 2023, Aage Richard Meyer returned to the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. performing a program comprising Dvorak’s “A New World Symphony”, A Scandinavian premiere of William Dawson’s “A Negro Folk Symphony”, and John William’s Tuba Concerto alongside the Norwegian tuba-virtuoso August Schieldrop. The performance was met with positive response from the audience.
