Aage Richard Meyer is one of Norway's most promising young conducting talents.

Biography

Aage Richard Meyer (b. 1994) is an orchestral and operatic conductor who has made a name for himself among the orchestras and ensembles in Norway. From 2020 to 2022 he served as assistant to The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and their chief conductor Edward Gardner. Aage Richard is an alumnus of Talent Norway's and Dirigentløftet's "Dirigentforum" program and one of the winners of their top program "Opptakt". Through Opptakt he will perform with all of Norway's professional orchestras and have access to mentorship from the worlds leading conductors and teachers.

On April 21st, 2023, Aage Richard had his long-waited opera debut, taking over from Edward Gardner the Norwegian Opera and Ballet's production of “Un Ballo In Maschera” by Guiseppe Verdi.
